Les Promenades Saint-Bruno is a shopping mall in Saint-Bruno, Quebec that broke ground in 1976 and completed in 1978, making it the youngest of the four self-branded "Fashion centres" operated by Cadillac Fairview. Les Promenades Saint-Bruno is the largest mall in the Montérégie and part of its consumer base come from cities as far as Saint-Hyacinthe and Sorel-Tracy. The major tenants are la Baie, Sears, Simons and Zellers.

La Baie is the only one left among the five initial anchors, although it moved in to the space that was vacated by Simpson in 1989, with its original location now being occupied by an expansion anchored by Sears. Les Promenades Saint-Bruno is the only known shopping centre in Quebec that had in its history the three upscale Canadian department stores - Simpsons (Simpson), the Bay (la Baie), and Eaton's (Eaton) - operating at the same time.

Promenades Saint-Bruno was one of the first shopping centres in Quebec with a food court; having been part of the mall since its inauguration in 1978.

The mall is noteworthy for not having any bank; it is the only of the four "Fashions centres" that does not have a bank.

Outdoor retailers

Promenades Saint-Bruno has many retailers in its parking lot; a trend that started in 1992 with the arrival of Toys "R" Us. While some of these outside retailers are tenants of the enclosed mall itself, others have no relation with Les Promenades Saint-Bruno.

Outdoor tenants of Promenades Saint-Bruno include Best Buy, Sears Decor, Old Navy, Boston Pizza, Future Shop, Pier 1 Imports and Moores.

Outdoor retailers that aren't tenants of Promenades Saint-Bruno include Toys "R" Us, Rona L'entrepot, Bureau En Gros, Wal-Mart, Winners/Homesense, Home Depot, Déco Découverte, Canadian Tire, Dollarama and Cineplex Odeon.

Brief history

A Steinberg supermarket was there between 1978 and 1992, around 50.000 sq ft (4.6452 m2). Steinberg, through Ivanhoe, had owned 25 % of the mall and also operated a Miracle Mart/M store side by side to the Steinberg supermarket. Both were replaced by Zellers in 1992.

After the Hudson's Bay Company disbanded Simpsons Department Stores in 1989, la Baie took the place of the Simpson store and la Baie's old place stayed vacant for over a year. Through that former anchor space, a new wing with 50 new boutiques was created and went to a new Sears, opened in early 1991. The size of the mall expanded near 200.000 square feet (18.5806 m2).

During the 1990s, big boxes arrives near the mall. Such arrivals in the parking continued well into the 2000s.

Simons picked the first floor of former Eaton's in 2001. Sport Experts/Atmosphere and some 5 boutiques took over the second floor of Eaton's.
